About 1,000 residents of 10 villages encircled the Palli Bidyut office at 11am and later they also blocked Tangail-Dhaka road for one hour and half disrupting traffic movement.
They, however, withdrew their siege and road barricade at about 12:30pm as UNO Jinat Rehana, OC Habibullah Sarker and Palli Bidyut officials rushed to the spot and assured them of solving their problem immediately.
